Gav912 Posted March 4, 2014 Report Share Posted March 4, 2014 No the START point Was 2004 for the tax to go up every year, it was to discourage people buying big cars, it doesn`t only apply to TD5`s it applies to all cars this size, AFTER 2004. . My Mates doing his nut, I did tell him to buy before 2004, this way he would have avoided it. so TD5`s Before this date does NOT Apply.. Gav912 Posted March 14, 2014 Report Share Posted March 14, 2014 So was I as our 2011 Defender 90 HT costs the same to tax as my 2003 110 Doublecab as they are both commercials, its only the station wagons that are in the higher tax bracket.
