I bought a Hawke Sidewinder 3-12x50 scope two years ago with the SR6 reticle. It worked fine for a long period of time, but it started to develop problems with the illuminated reticle. Basically the green coloured illumination worked fine, but the red illumination became intermittent and refused to switch on at times. I sent it to hawke for an initial repair just before Christmas last year and they very promptly sent it back fixed. Two months later, the problem reoccurred, only this time the red reticle completely died and wouldn't turn on at all. Not what you'd expect from a £250 scope. After sending it back for a second time, Hawke are now replacing the scope with a new and improved 3-12x50 with the SR pro reticle, complete with next-day delivery. Hats off to them...no fuss, no waiting around and they even phoned me to confirm that I would be happy with the new reticle. They replaced my TAC 30 after i got a big scratch in a barbed wire fence on it... free of charge... that's what i call a brilliant customer service.
