Clay grounds in Cumbria (Kirkby Stephen)?

Hello All,

 

good to be part of this forum.

 

I have recently moved to the Lake District Kirkby Stephen to be exact. I am a member of the CPSA but they only list three or four clubs around that are about 40mins away.

Driving around I often see signs for clay shooting... So my question is does anybody know any local clubs that may not be listed or does not have an online presence.

Hi Zimbo, I know of a shoot at Lupton, Kirkby Lonsdale (although might still be a bit of a drive), they have a website: http://www.crabtreeclayshoot.co.uk/

I only know of these as my father shoots over that way regularly, if I hear of any more will update the thread.

I also think there is another shoot, I think Kendal gun club, on the tebay to Kendal road. About 3 miles out of tebay, just the other side of black horse hill on the right. I think every other Sunday.

Greystoke have a shoot, but don't know any more details.

The thing is there isn't much shooting to be had without driving.
