staffyspen
Looking for a .22 fac air, around the £600 mark so second hand most likely. Will be used on bunnies mostly with the odd bird or rat. What sorts of power people successfully running with decent shot count from pcps? What rifle you using? Thanks
malantone
why not .22rf and save a lot of money and gain more power.

turbo33
My Airwolf has two settings Hi and Low. Obviously the power will vary a bit depending on which pellet is used. For example, On the low setting, its 23ftlbs with Air Arms Heavy, 18grain. Same setting with Bisley Magnum 21 grain is 25.5 ftlbs. On the high setting, I only use Bisley Magnums. That's 35ftlbs with those. With the standard 500cc bottle fitted, I was getting 60, full power shots, with virtually no deviation in fps. You could probably go another 15-20 shots before you would notice a significant change in the poi. With the low setting, I would take a guess at close on 100. However. I have been experimenting with the smaller 400cc bottle, to keep the weight down. I have also left it on the low setting to see how many shots it will do. That was nearly 90. Also, using 18rn pellets, at 23 ftlbs, it will still take out rabbits etc comfortably at 60 yards. Longest the other night was 89 yards. But, I do a lot of testing and do know my aim points, its not simply about power. If asked, I would say the ideal power would be a rifle set up at 30ftlbs with Bisley magnums 21 grn. Then you can use an 18grn pellet for a bit more speed. IMHO, that's the optimum for power/air consumption.
