Dogs that won't stop barking

I have two dogs that live outside and have had complaints about them barking. Admittedly they were doing my head in as well.

I tried allsorts of different things to stop them.

Eventually I bought a cheap £3.99 cordless doorbell from Lidl's, put it up in the kennel and, when I'm at home, every time one of them barks I press the bell.

To date (3 weeks) there's been a markable change in their barking habits. Just make sure you get a bell with several different tones and pick the one that bugs them the most. :)
