Mentalmac
Hi All, Went to my permission for a dawn raid in the sun over the weekend and the landowner text me after hearing a shot and told me to pop over, I was invited to a afternoon BBQ by the land owner that day so went back had a burger and drink and then caught the last of the fun in the land nearby. The land I shoot over is owned by 2 separate land owners and I have permission to shoot from both... but one has put her land up for grabs and the other landowners brought it :-) - great news for me! we are good friends too luckily. In the morning I tend to walk around the land and take the bunnies as I see them on the sticks, but in the evening I lay on an old flat bed trailer on the grass that I often either lay on top of but now found a more comfy solution! A fishing stool I got from Aldi for a tenner which you can wear as a rucksack and also put gear in. I just sit behind the trailer and shoot from it as a bench. After my walk around with the HMR I tend to get the shotgun and sit a few foot from car where there's some old farm machinery I can hide behind and take any pigeons that come over from the wood to head to feed. In this instance I just ended up tanning myself in the sun. So I got myself two nice bunnies in the morning and then just the one in the evening. Lovely. Mornings rabbits: View in the evening: Rabbit I shot - and my fishing stool in the background.

Mentalmac
nice shooting and my i say that is a beautiful hmr you've got there. I love laminate stocks Thanks :-). I love it too. It's a little on the heavy side being a heavy stainless fluted varmint barrel but then it's great from prone.
