RobertMark1964
I have today hatched my last batch of French partridge chicks. I was unfortunate to get coccidiosis and hexamita in my previous three batches and had to treat with baycox and antibiotics. With these infections on my rearing field should I treat my latest batch with the baycox and antibiotics before there are signs of the symptoms? Any suggestions, advice would be much appreciated. rich1985
Rear on a different bit of ground if this is possible! What bio security regime have you got? Just keep every thing as clean as possible. Sterilise EVERYTHING.Treating them is a tricky one as you could make them resistant to antibiotics then if you did get an infection you may find it hard to treat. This is a difficult situation, not coccidiosis or hexamita weather, I know a few game farmers and we've been lucky this year. Best of luck and I hope this helps. Regards rich.
