Darno
Went to have a look at a field that's got some laid patches, been watching it for a couple of weeks now but not a lot on it! Got there this afternoon and there were about 50 or so! Had an hour and a half while the kids had their afternoon sleep, traveling light, no hide and about 7 decoys and a lander! Sat in a tram line with the dog and ended up with 7 pigeons, could have been more but is quite a tricky field to shoot with a road one side of me and cows the other! But well worth the rush to get out! And I got home just as the kids woke up so the mrs was happy too:-) Oh, and my dog is 2 and never worked him in standing crops but he was excellent and waited for instruction and found every bird:-) Even if he couldn't find it, he would stand on his back legs and poke his head out to see where I was sending him! Was well pleased! He is coming on a treat!
Maddaftspaniel
Well done. I like traveling light too. It can be more fun than humping all the kit.
