Zenduri
To summarize I'm going back to my family home in a weeks time to pickup a couple of BSA airguns that belong to my father (which hes given me) that are circa late 50's/ early 60's, to bring them to my house to then take down my range, run them over the chrono and have a chap at the range (who is a BSA enthusiast and restores rifles) to have a look over them and quote me for the work needed on them. The problem i have is currently I'm not driving so when i go and pick these up I'll be on the train (not a main line and fairly quiet on the trains). They will be in a largish rectangular nondescript gun bag but I am a bit concerned about traveling with them and where i stand. My understanding is as long as they are transported safely, properly and i have due excuse i am fine. My excuse being i am collecting them with the aim of taking them down the range shortly after and for repair/servicing. Is there anything else I need to know or should be doing? I've read all the relevant airgun literature and even went to the extent of contacting my local FLO to see if they could advise or point me in the right direction but i got a standard unhelpful response to an airgun pamphlet >.> I was pondering if i could also cover myself by printing out a receipt/invoice and having my father sell them to me for £1 and then both of us fill out the receipt as proof of sale and purchase so if anyone queries them i can show I am transporting them after purchasing them or is this way OTT and due to cause more trouble than its worth? Help and thoughts are needed and welcome

Les*1066
I wouldn't worry too much. Carry them in the bag, don't leave it unattended ...................... and try not to look as though you are carrying something that goes BANG!!
