ace_of_hearts
Treated myself to a new air rifle today. Fancied a multishot PCP but didn't really know what I wanted, so have been to a few shops over the last couple of days and was suprised that I could get a Daystate in my budget, so I had to have it. Its a Mk3 RT with the thumbhole stock, and is around 10 years old (not sure if this makes it an early one or not). I had a few shots with it before coming home and seems to be very accurate at 30 yards and much easier to shoot than my HW95. It came with the Milbro moderator and Hawke Nite-Eye 6.5-20x50 scope but the scope seems huge for an air rifle and is no doubt adding to its heft. Might stick it up for sale and look for something a bit more suitable but will use it as is for the time being. I have also just given it a good clean and run it through the chrono which is showing at around 11.4ft/lb which i am happy with. Shame I am on nights this weekend as I really fancy an evening out with it.
blasterjudd
Nice gun, the older guns are better built with less to go wrong IMO Looks in very good condition i agree that scope is a bit OTT for a pcp get something with a smaller zoom but 50mm is good try a 3-9 x 50 Mamba lite ?? What's the calibre?
ace_of_hearts
Thanks, it is a .22 and will mainly be used for rabbits on a few of our permissions where the rimfires aren't allowed. I will have a look at the Mamba scope
