brett1985
hiya chaps, just thought i would update on the previous thread. i took the gun out for some reasonably heavy use after i had free'd it up and it ran fine for a few boxes. perfect. however, went out with it this past weekend as i had a young farmers shoot to attend on saturday, and then the local 50 bird sporting on sunday. first stand, cycled the first pair, then failed to extract on the first cartridge on the second pair. cleared (carefully) and re-took the pair. same thing happened again. gave up after re-taking the pair for the 5th time. took it home that evening and wondered if it had been over oiled (which seems to be an issue with the a400 apparently) so removed some of it and tried again on sunday. ran the first stand ok, got to stand 2 and it started again. i tried 4 different makes of cartridge incase it was a brass/lip issue, but to no avail. its gone back to gmk yesterday, via helston gunsmiths, so will keep this updated. ive had nothing but pleasent experiences with gmk so far (the mid bead fell out on the second time of using the gun, which they replaced foc), so hopefully they may be able to answer why the bolt came back the first time round....
