Joshcup11
Hi all. the season just gone was my first wildfowling season. although I was invited to take my gun along I kindly refused and accompanied a gentleman who is a brilliant wildfowler. I preferred sitting and watching mainly being able to identify the different types of geese and duck which would eventually become my quarry I am looking forward to getting out next season and shooting my first pink. How did everyone else's season go? Cheers Josh
fenboy
A very sensible approach. Wildfowling is a very steep learning curve and having someone with plenty of experience to show you the ropes is a huge advantage , but as with most things the best way to learn is to get out there and do it as much as possible , learn from your own mistakes , just always be aware of the tides and do not cross anything that is empty that you cannot get back across when its full. I have just finished my second season , my first was very difficult and I ended it with just three widgeon , this past season things started to click and I had 23 duck and 9 pinks.
