when I remove my buddy bottle from my theoben it hisses slowly and steadily.. I'm not talking about the bang on immediate removal, but the fact the bottle is sitting infront of me now gently hissing and losing all its air, I'm assuming the valve is either jammed or broken,

is there an easy remedy.. or does it need to go back cos its b*ggered.? funnilly enough the bottle is quite new, I must add.. should I be adding grease or something to the valve?

thanks

Your best not adding any grease to the valve, they do not require it. A little grease to the 'o' ring is needed though. Realy the valve needs removing and cleaning, where talking a killing amount of pressure behind the thing so it failed your in trouble if your in the wrong place at the wrong time. A trick i learnt from a gun smith was to get a small punch which would fit in the hole above the valve and then be very gentle and tap it a few times, this will make the valve seat. If that fails, then its off to Theoden.

surprise surprise another theoben buddy bottle leaking.i can t get my head round why folks think these are the best available.try hw aa or daystate.

LOL, I always think the same mate, everyine that owns 'em think they are the best thing since sliced bread! I'm not saying I don't like them but I would rather have my Daystates anyday hehe :/

To be honest mate I wouldn't attempt fixing it yourself. Like someone has mentioned, the amount of pressure in them things can easily kill you if something goes wrong. They can atleast blow your hands/arms off!! Send off to theoben mate! :D
