goldE
Hi fellas, a mate of mine has given me one of the above but its got a problem. When I charge it with a stirup pump the air leaks out of the filler hole. Ive done a google and cant realy find anything that helps, ive had it to bits and all seems ok ( O ring hard but not split) now what I want to know is could it be the O ring on the filler valve or would it be the valve itself? im no expert as you can tell but a bit of info would be much appreciated to save a wasted trip trying to get a new seal! arnold
Hello, i dont think it would be the seal matey, its maybe that your using a stirup pump?, if charging when empty you'll get small hissing coming from the charge adaptor this is due too no back presure on the valve you need back presure to close this valve then you'll find the leaking will stop, also check that the valve is clear from any dust in the valve sometimes this causes problem if the valve cannot seal?, i had that problem on a bsa ultra once presure is built up in rifle you'll find it should charge

the pelt man
cheers for the reply mate, I took it into the local gun shop today and he said the same thing, filled it off a bottle and it still leaked! so looks like ive gotta send the valve back to rsw or whoever took webley over. Cheers Nick Are talking about the gun still leaking after charging, If so they are easy to fix yourself. 1) Discharge Gun of Air by keep firing. 2) Undo alan key bolts around end of res chamber. On my FX2000 up inside the filler port there is a small Allen key bolt that holds the end of the barrel to the Res chamber which you have to take out. 3) Slide out stop end of res chamber, get it started by putting a screwdriver up the filler port and pushing stop end out. 4) In the back of the stop end is a brass screw with a hole through the middle, unscrew this, there is a spring behind this that pushes a cone shapped brass fitting with a small rubber seal around it, remove and clean. Also clean down inside the spring guide with cotton bud. 5) Put back together in reverse order. The problem will be solved, which would have been dirt stopping the cone shaped brass fitting from seatting tight in place. This is a very easy thing to fix just take your time. Let us know how you get on. PELTMAN
