fielddweller
Got a call yesterday from a farmer to say they had just cut a large field of Osr.so popped down after work today and saw a fair on the field and some good traffic. Very little wind and no obvious cover I decided to set up in the middle with green nets and no attempt to blend in.Well 2 shots for 2 birds I thought I'm in for good un,then they just stopped committing so changed pattern and spinner...nothing.By this time a slight breeze had picked up and I turned round 180degrees to put the wind on my back. The main flight line was coming in from my right and turning head on into my pattern, one advantage of being in the middle is you can shoot 360 which got me a few. My pattern consisted of 10 dead birds on spikes and a spinner added about 20 as they came and brought the rest in.started at 2.30 and finished about 6.45 and shot 87 pigeons and a crow, don't know the shot count yet but there's a bag full of empties.
