oozelumbird
Iam not selling the following product, just advising people that it is on the market. Ive been in the Military/Police surplus game for 10 years now and every so often a torch call a 'Dragon' comes to the surface, you often see them on a well know auction site or you can buy them direct from the manufactuer. The dragon Mk2 is the standered torch used by the Police and Army. Its 6million candle power and built to last, rechargeable etc. Now the important bit for us is this, you can buy different filters for them. I know you can buy torchs with this feature. But the Dragon is a purpose built military tool. They can not be beaten, you can throw it around, drop it in a river etc. Here are trade secrets, often when they come up for sale anywhere the batteries are always knackered and you will be told they cost £90 to replace, this is wrong, its a standered battery pack or a Yusa battery will fit in giving you a longer lasting charge anyway. The chargers are often missing and you will be told these have to be bought again from the only supplier there is for £75.00, this is rubbish, the charger will cost you £15.00 and the special plug £1.20. This is all from R.S or similair stockists. I hope this is of interest to all lampers etc, you can buy IR filters for the front for around £10.00. So in short, keep a look out for Dragon MK2 seach lights, they army have just upgraded so there are going to be plenty on the market. tuck1
I'll second the above. Excellent heavy duty workhorses. It was news to me about the batteries and chargers though. I use these at work, they do weigh quite a bit.
