reefman
AGS and Hawke both cheap and cheerfull and made in china.Foggy round the edges but hold a zero. I would say they are the best of the budget scopes .I had an AGS 3-9x40 on an BSA Lightning xl,came as part of the deal.It held it's zero but was irritatingly foggy round the edges. I also had a hawke 4x42 ir on a rimmie did not like it at all, although it did hold it's zero ok. I'm sure someone can answer this but I bet they are probably made in the same factory just badged differently.
Eagleman
I'd agree with reefman. I've got an AGS Viper IR on my HMR. My view is that AGS and Hawke are "reasonable" - in other words "good enough" for most purposes. But I would rate both Falcon and MTC as markedly better scopes.
