wickedep
hey guys.. not too long ago i bought a Hawke Sr12 scope and i've been loving it since. but couple of days ago i took the gun out and while looking through the scope i noticed 100's of tiny very minute black dots on the inside lens....if your looking straight through and have a clear scope image you almost dont notice it..its only when you are trying the move your head around trying to get a clear image at what you shooting that you notice all the tiny black dots against the light.... the problem doesnt appear to be getting worse..but the issue is always nibbling away in the back of me head . does anyone know what this could be? do i have to contact Deben group or the retailer i bought the scope from? the scope comes with a 10year warranty. i hope i dont have to get rid of this scope..i've come to love the reticle so much. any help greatly appreciated!! sacha

wickedep
spoke to Deben the other day and managed to sort it out. apparently hawke used too much assembly grease on one batch of sr12 scopes...grrr...so thats whats causing the issue i've mentioned. i've decided to keep the scope as i was assured the problem wasnt going to get worse and the good lads at deben have agreed to give me a healthy discount on my next purchase sacha
AnthonyR
My Nighteye SR12 has the same problem. As I want to sell it I think it will have to go back and be sorted out. Thanks for the heads up though.
