Hunter_zero
Hi, Would anyone in the South Wales be interested in doing this course: http://www.basc.org.uk/content/fsa_information So that you can comply with: http://www.food.gov.uk/foodindustry...meatpremlicence This is just a preliminary enquiry. I know a good few people would would like to do this course but they are never held around the South Wales area. All I am doing at the moment is working out the viability of arranging a course. A course could be arranged for the South Wales area for Nine candidates, this is formal qualification and one worth doing. Thanks John

Thanks John ive done this course it was ok exspensive for what it is imo but you now need it to sell your quary to the game dealers which is the reason i did it and you will have to know what potable water is well its tap water anything fit for drinking basicaly it is the rules now but think it is a bit of a money spinner for basc cheers kirky
Hunter_zero
My way of looking at it is that the qualification will last for life. Who knows what is around the corner and who knows when a qualification will be needed. I am a pest controller, not that many years ago I used to be a very unhappy workshop engineer in the electronics industry. One of the chaps on the vans was a trained chef, whilst doing his training a banana inspecting course was run. Just a small 'aside', course nothing special, just an afternoon. It turned out that in fact there are only a hand full of banana inspectors in the UK and that they are in fact very very well paid and that the banana boats can not unload stock until a banana inspector has checked them. As such and due to no one really taking the inspecting course, there were very few people who could do the job. He found a position that was very well paid, wasn't hard work and a job for life. Since then my philosophy has always been to grab qualifications by the neck. John
