Seen an issue on ohio waterfowlers board a lot the yanks call it trigger traping, i never bothered researching it because i never had a maxus, but i think what you discribe is that very problem . Do a search maxus trigger traping and you will get plenty of info off the net about it, and what to do.

Did a quick search on maxus trigger trapping and it seems that the trigger is not resetting for the next shot. This is not the case with my maxus, mine fires the next shot but requires more pressure on the next trigger pull.

Trigger doesn't feel consistent from one shot to the next, Is it something a gunsmith could sort out?

Had maxus @ 9 months go,great gun,fitted me well,but..........

Maybe 50 shots at clays, trigger was solid on second shot 10 times or more, was sent back to browning,4 weeks later gun came back with a note saying"repaired under warranty" nothing else!

Couldn't wait to get out with gun..........guess what,1st box shells 4 shots same problem, second box a few more!,

Part ex'd for a nice o/u.....no problems!
