Cakie174
Hi Next season i think i would like to try my hand at Deer Stalking preferably in Scotland. Can anyone help me as to how one would go about taking up this wonderful sport. Do you need your DMC Cert 1 from the start or is that for unsupervised stalking. What are the costs associated with it. I don't want any trophies, i just think that there can be nothing better than a hard stalk for your quarry man against nature. I would hate to just pay an estate to shoot a deer. Any advice, help, contacts or URLS would be kindly welcomed. If there is anyone out there in the same position and in N.Ireland or south west scotland may be we could buddy up Cheers Cakie. jonno 357
A lot of the members in the club I have just joined are into Deer Stalking. Not too sure but I think the minimum required to shoot on the estates in Scotland is DSC level 1 and shooting insurance. A full years shooting can be bought for about £500 for the year or 10 trips from about £300 in a shooting syndicate. Also calibre size is also an issue Jonno
