War d vision

Hi I have one of the originals but I have no instructions for it. I have phoned and emailed Clive with the usual results. So if any one can email me a set of instructions I would be very grateful. I have been using it but I don't get a very good definition of either cross hairs or the background. But have accounted for three foxes in the last two outings. I am using a good infra-red torch. However I see videos in which the whole picture is much better than mine. As it works fine in the daytime I figure it's probable a set up problem. Also the viper connect Im using is not helping as the add on tends to roll around on the adjustable eye piece!!

Cheers

Nic

A couple of things as I have one of the Ward D 700s which is very similar apart from the camera so this may help

1) I think the Viper connect may be an issue as on all my scopes I have to really wind the dioptre adjustment out a lot to get clear focus on the cross hair. I am short sighted and wear glasses to shoot, normally my dioptre is wound right in for day use but for the Ward it needs to be wound at least two turns out to get the cross hair in focus

2) There should be a little wheel under the bottom of the Ward where the rubber eye cup is. This allows you to focus the unit to your eyes which also will helps on crosshair focus

3) Probably way off base as the viper is parallax adjustable and you have played with this but during the night you need to wind the parallax right down in range to focus the image as IR light has a longer wavelength than visible light so tend to focus much shorter on the parallax usually in the 10 -20 yard range if shooting at say 80 yards

Hope this helps
