Been offer a copy of this manual (the 1997 version) or £17. Is it worth £17 inc P&P??

I really dont think it is worth spending £17 on the old edition. In fact if you look on the internet and find some of the very many bookshops in Hay-on-Wye I am sure you will pick up a copy at a 1/4 the price.

 

The manual I would reccomened for a 'beginner' would be the Hornady one but any of the standard name will provide you with a good guide. Nosler, Speer, Sierra, Lee, Hodgdon, Vhitavouri, IMR Ramshot etc etc

 

Do remember that most of the information is available on the internet so a good guide to reloading is perhaps more important than just the reloading schedules.
