Last year the surf was that flat that I had a go at "spear fishing"..........with a borrowed gun from a mate that must have been an antique. It's very hard work, my mate who does it a lot tends to "lurk" behind some cover and ambush the fish, as opposed to moving around lots - he gets a lot of bass and mullet that way. vole Posted June 4, 2007 Report Share Posted June 4, 2007 Did a bit in Red Sea.Bloody difficult with refraction etc.Heard about a guy spearing a grouper and getting towed around.Saw Fearnley Whittingstall do it off Devon onTV.Looks great fun.
