skeetfreak
If you mean Cosford SG - just off junction 1 M6 then i have been a regular shooter there for a few years. They hold regular NSSA registered skeet on one of the best backgrounds in the country pretty much every Saturday. They are slowly but surely building a second skeet layout which could well see English skeet registered added to the weekly choice. Note:- The building of the second skeet layout is / was having a temporary impact on the compact but it will return to the previous standard i am sure. One of the skeet layouts has a DTL layout overlaid on it - you will however need to check available for use on Saturdays due to the popularity of the skeet here. Compact and Sporting is Fibre Wad Only. Yes they change the layouts. They are limited by the size of the ground / planning so generally only have 25 compact and 6 sporting stands on at any one time. There is a small crop of trees which they put the odd stand in. TBH the sporting / compact is busier on a Sunday AM so you might get more out of it by going then. As a note the owners in my experience are receptive to ideas so if you want something in particular approach them and ask - if they can help they will. If this is a particular target type or something. This is how the skeet here came about having the reputation it does - someone asked and they put it on - now it is extremely popular throwing ten's of thousands of registered targets a year and culminated in a 400 straight being shot there last weekend and a layout often having several England level shooters on it. There is no reason why the Compact / English Sporting cannot be the same with some input. They also offer a covered air rifle range - not sure on the opening hours of that as never used it. But they do hold some large air rifle competitions in the past. Clubhouse is a portacabin type affair with portaloo's outside. They serve hot and cold food / drinks. They have upgraded the card payment to a proper machine which negates the issue above. Prices are 24p member / 28p non member and they use the promatic card system so you can pick and choose what you want to shoot on which stands etc. Open Thursdays (10:00 - 16:00), Saturdays (10:00 - 16:00) and Sundays (10:30 - 13:30).
