Gun Watch Posted March 28, 2018 Report Share Posted March 28, 2018 Ford, William Boxlock non ejector £350 12 gauge Shotgun Private Seller Used - Average Condition Birmingham , West Midlands Side by Side, Cylinder, 3/4 Choke, 26" barrels Description William Ford side by side non ejector box lock A very prestigious Birmingham maker and this is one of his early guns as it is only serial number 1255 Ford started producing guns around 1887 so I would estimate this gun to be somewhere around 1895 26 inch barrels with a 15 inch length of pull with a chequered butt plate and vacant oval Weight of gun 6lb 12 oz Choked 3/4 & cylinder Chambered for 2 1/2 inches The overall condition of the gun is very good and locks up tightly. Greener cross bolt and auto safety The top of the barrels are marked William Ford 23 Loveday St on one side and St Marys Birmingham on the other. Fully marked with Ford and the serial numbers on the frond iron, barrels and receiver.
