peter-peter Posted July 4, 2007 Report Share Posted July 4, 2007 This is an old webley falcon, i bought for restoration, woodwork **** broken spring. metal rusting, first job strip and sand the stock 120 grit sandpaper followed by 240 grit, and finished with, 0000gauge steel wool. 3 hrs work and a nice bit of beech. next 3 coats of walnut stain, allow to dry between coats. then. 2 coats of peruvian mahogany stain to give a reddish glow. thats the first round over, next job is sanding sealer to stablise the grain. tommorow!
