joeshaw08
Just been out zeroing my Hawke Nite-Eye 30/30, and I can turn the turrets (both windage and elavation) so far until it stops moving, so zeroing at 20 yards is impossible. This is my first propper scope since the standard 4x20, so im not 100% Is this supposed to do this or is there a problem with the scope?? Cheers. BSA Shaun
May need a shim on the mounts. Where is it shooting at this setting, left? right? high? low? Also why are you zeroing at 20yds out of interest? Zero at 35yds then adjust where you aim

Its shooting below the cross hair at the minute, and when i was trying earlier it wasn't moving down anymore B) Do you think im zeroing to close then? What do you mean by needing a shim on the mounts?

If its still shooting low then you may need to put a shim (negative) on one of the mounts to raise it so that is is shooting higher. i.e raise the rear mount Unless you are going to use the rifle just for rat shooting I would personally zero for 35yds. This gives you a good zero for rabbits and pigeons which is the main quarry for my air rifle, then if I was shooting rats I would just aim off. Saves having to do a big re-zero if you do start shooting piggies and rabbits B)

Have you got any tips for how to raise the mount? Cheers.
