Just for info, my interpretation of the 'roll back' / restore point is that it rolls back system type operations such as installation of new software etc. I don't think it will effect personal files as it were. TRY THIS: On the search option: Start Search For Files and folders Search Options Tick Date Enter window dates around when your daughter got on the PC This should show files that have been modified in this date window

I think in the folder options its under the View tab. Show hidden folders and files Got old windows at work, vista at home!

Go to: Control panel Folder Options Show hidden folders Then search away The other one is Start Scroll to the right and there is a "my recent documents" option

Another thing to try is to go to recent documents, if the files have been open recently then you can get to them there and then find their location from this.

Well, thanks for all the congrats people First night and he wasn't too bad! Up every 2 hours for a feed, but then managed a 4 hour stint from 0300 to 0700. He then crashed again till 0930. He's worth every minute, but he's got some lungs I tell thee

Stick a multimeter, set to Volts DC, across the battery terminals when the engine is running. If you get 14ish volts then the alternator is functioning properly and the battery is not accepting the charge, i.e duff. If you get a low voltage the alternator is duff.
