sean johnston
Hello lads, bit of a daft question here but does anyone know the average weight of a pigeon as i have just about completed making my pigeon rotor but need to know the weight of a bird to check i have the correct size spring steel rod for the rotors arms. Then i could suspend something of a similar weight from the arm just to check it.I have been unable to get out for woodies lately due to them ********* of somewhere else so if anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Regards sean.
ernyha
Sean, after a days shooting I always weigh a few birds to get 2 of equal weight.I freeze these 2 seperately to use on my rotor as I find that 2 equal weight birds lets it operate more smoothely and not work itself loose in soft ground. To get to your point,I find that 1lb2oz is a typical weight.
