Keith
I was worrying for nothing. I went to see the farmer this morning with my sgc, BASC membership (photocopies for him to keep as well) and an agreement typed out. He was very relaxed and said I could shoot pretty well where I want on his farm, shoot what I want (subject to legislation and seasons) and pointed out the best spots. All I have to do is text or phone him to say when I'll be there. Met a guy who works on his farm, his wife and his lab so people and dogs won't be alarmed by my presence. He said I can start shooting from next Saturday - will this week drag or what!
Markio
Excellent result! You must be a very happy man! I know how you feel, although i haven't received my first 'permission' as such i have joined the local wildfowlers club so having some live quarry shooting at hand whenever i want it is such a great feeling. Keith
Feels v good. Hope you enjoy the wildfowling. Not much available around Middlesex/herts but I'm going up to Scotland to three days wildfowling in late October. I always have to go with someone else as I don't have a dog - or at least not a spaniel or lab that would swim well or retrieve. jack Russel's don't get the concept of fetch!
