How do you remove the sleeve from a SAK mod, I can remove the end cap no problem but how do I get the innards out??

Pics to help as there seem to be 2 types of SAK:

ot of the end of the mod, cap in place:

Shot of the end of the mod once cap removed, you can see the baffles no idea how to remove them from the sleeve:

Thank

:stupid:

Unless I'm mistaken how did you get the end cap off ...............my SAK looks exactly the same and you simply remove the locking screw using a allen key ( It's sited half way down the body )meaning you have a 50/50 chance of which end to hit .I'll explain in more detail

Grip the SAK in a bench vice c/w soft jaws and using a mallet and 1" wooden dowel smack one end .If you don't see movement try the opposite end .......Depending on the amount of rounds put through this moderator don't be surprised about the amount of force that's required to knock the internals out .

Good luck  .

With the silencer removed from the barrel, unscrew the end cap (the one you removed in the pic), but not all the way, and "tap" that end which will release the baffle and other end cap - as the other side (barrel end) is just pushed in and is part of the baffle... if you know what I mean

This will at least "release" the baffle, then completely remove the screw end cap to knock the baffle the rest of the way out - of course being careful not to *****r up the thread :good:

Thanks Tony

I take it you are tapping so the baffle comes out of the eng that attaches to the muzzle of the rifle?

Yes Jerry  ... as Tulky said, the ones with the grub screws are the older type.
