jonno 357 Posted December 8, 2007 Report Share Posted December 8, 2007 Nurses at a district hospital could be told to turn the beds of seroiusly-ill Muslim patients towards Mecca That was one of the recommendations of series of consultation meetings aimed at "improving Muslim patients' experience of the NHS" Other suggestions included providing fresh bathing water for prayer time,serving halal meals and ensuring that Muslim women were only treated by female Doctors The Mid-Yorkshire Hospitals NHS trust which runs the district Hospital, said internal workshops had been held for nurses to "help develop theircultural understanding" Its an interesting options to look at in the NHS concidering the trust is £80 million in debt What a wonderful country we live in Jonno Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
