Unless it's a semi-auto, you can bore-sight with the bolt out straight away at most zeroing ranges depending on the size of target. I had one given many years ago and have used it once, preferring the above method. The're easy to use, just select the correct calibre rod, fit it into the colometer, insert into end of barrel, look through scope ensuring that the collometer's cross hairs are vertical and horizontal and dial in your scope to the centre. That is usually 100yds. Then take rifle to range, it shouldn't be far out, unless you've had to refit a moderator. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
