jordan
i have the oppertunity to buy a weirhauch hw 80 for £50 apparently the woodwork is a bit scratched but the gun fires fine. The gun comes with a sight as well. Is this a good deal i have no experience of any weirhauch models i need to decide by monday when im meeting the chappy who is selling it. Thanks in advance jordan
The Sniper
Jordan, The 80 is a fine gun but it will probably be a few years old. How do you know it fires fine ?? What is its accuracy ? Have you tried it out ? Why is the chap selling it ? Is he just passing on something that gone by its sell by date ? Has he ever had the spring replaced ( Its easy to do if he hasn't) At that price I would say you are getting a bargain....if it is accurate. Plus it is a rather heavy airgun. Will you be able to carry it around all day long ?
jordan
right i have had dealings with the guy before i borrowed his hob to breed from and loads of other stuff he has told me it fires fine and frankly i trust his judgement. weight is not a problem im a rather big kid so i can carry it no problem im used to so you reckon its an ok deal then its probably better than the air rifle i have now anywway. The Sniper
Jordan, Only you can make the final decision. But I'll say it again. They are a good gun. Have you tried it out though yet ??

neil
A hw80 for £50 is a good deal aslong as the stock isnt broken/ it isnt hanging in rust, even if you allow for taking it to a gunsmith for a service you will still have one for way less than they will fetch second hand, then refinish the stock yourself and bingo
