wildoliver
Hi I got a Browning b26 the other day, smashing gun just taken it out shooting today, shot as well as I have for a long time. As a bit of background on the guns as most of you will probably know Browning is more of a brand than a manufacturer, and the manufacturing has in late days mainly been farmed out to the japanese manufacturer miroku, but 20 years ago there was a very close link to the belgian manufacturer FN, who are still a world renowned gun manufacturer even making one of the current weapons used by the british army amongst others. The b26/Liege is a gun made by fn (fabrique nationale) for browning, it was to replace the costly b25 series along with I think it was the citori model manufactured in japan. The liege eventually became the medalist. The nice thing about the liege is even though it was a "budget" gun it maintains the fit and quality of the renowned B25 just without the elaborate engraving, making the gun an ideal workhorse, would make a smashing starter clay gun, rabbiter, pigeon gun. The gun runs 1/2 3/4 chokes, ejectors, single trigger and manual safety hence an ideal clay gun. As an example my local gunshop has a very rough and ready model for £450 and it is rough, there is also an fn on guntrader for about the same price. Condition wise this gun is nice, I'll not say mint it isn't it has been well used but it is in good condition, there are some little marks on the stock, and some little marks on the metal work but overall a tidy gun and with a nice thick butpad makes a nice gun! Now what I'm looking for: Either: Over and under. Prefer multichoke (unless beretta). Italian (italian guns just seem to fit me better). Not a light game gun must be suitable for clays. Must be single trigger. Ejectors pretty essential. Would prefer a Beretta. But bernadelli, rizzini, bettinsoli would all be considered. Possibly a lincoln or the new baikal multichoke clay gun. Semi Auto. Prefer Beretta 303/390/391 (yeah right) Must be multichoke. Would consider a webley/hatsan with all accessories and prefer wood model. Or alternatives will be considered. I have a winch 1200 pump gun at the moment, any comparative semi auto's, remingtons, winchesters etc. as long as they are reliable AND WILL CYCLE 28G CARTS AND PREFERABLY 24G. I do prefer wood to synthetic but am flexible. I must be honest money is tight at the moment and if the right gun came up that was worth slightly more than mine I might be able to come up with a bit more but not much, if your gun is worth less I'm happy to talk a deal with a little bit of cash back, but I'm not greedy, just want a gun I'll use a lot! For an outright buy I'll take offers close to the £400 mark which isn't a lot of money for a good gun. But it says offers so make me an offer! GILLMc
Hi.....I know this isn't exactly what your looking for but I've got a Beretta 302, 28" multichoke with 2x half choke and 1 full choke. The gun is in verygood condition and has had a recent service. ( The 302 does have the external collar multichoke system) I,m looking for a good over and under for clays, a bit more info on the Browning would be nice. I'm looking to swap, no cash involved.. wildoliver
Hi while the 302 is a nice gun it isn't really what I'm looking for I'm afraid, it's just the external chokes I'm not keen on. Thanks Oliver
