Cosd
Been shooting twice now: 1st time shot 1 2nd time shot 2 so improvement at 100% Both times didn't have any gear other than gun, cartridges and clothing. After first day soon realised how important camo'ing is so bought myself gloves and head gear for second shoot. Although was a quiete day I did realise how much less I disturbed the birds. I have now just ordered 12 shell decoys (pigeon). A pop up hide and a bucket thing with a spin seat. And 2 flocked full bodied pigeon decoys which I plan to mount on home made poles. Is this OK to start with or is there still basics I am missing? Edited January 17, 2008 by Cosd
salisburykeeper
depending on what sort of shooting you are doing this what you have will be ample. location is everything and the more you get out , the more you will learn where the good spots are to shoot at different times of year, just get out there and enjoy it! i reccomend buying a bit of scuba gear for the weather we have been having though.

I will be pigeon shooting mainly, there are some burrow holes around so maybe rabbit/hare too.
caeser
if you could get out with an experienced pigeon shooter thats local to you, you would probably pick up a lot of useful information. It can take years to learn about pigeon shooting, and even then you'll never learn it all.
