Alright gang

Ive been offered a BSA Superten Bull Barrel Carbine with Simmons 3-9x40 scope and a BSA Gunbag.

I know i obviously i need to try the gun but for under £400 does this generally sound like a decent offer?

Ive never actually handled one but they look quite heavy and bulky

Your views on the built in silencer?

Hi, I cant really give to much advice as i am new to airgunning.

I have done alot of reading up on the superten before i bought one. Not one person had a bad thing to say about them apart for being a bit on the heavy side, i think they are around 7.5lb without scope. If yours is the newer version then there slightly lighter.

All reviews say how acurate they are and that the power doesn't drop even after 150 shots or more. I think there is a review in the April Airgunner, I have not had a chance to check it out.

Some places are charging about £600 new without scope, I paid £300 s/h as new without scope. personaly i think its a good deal.

Have you checked the BBS there was some on there.

Let us know how you get on.

Neil

Yea i have checked BBS but this is the best deal ive found. The seller is local which is a bonus as i can go and take a look before i buy.

If the built in silencer is any good then ill probably go for it.

Is there different versions of the Superten Bull Barrell? like Mk1 and 2 etc?

If so ill have to find out which one it is

Some (not many) bullbarrels are conversions of older std guns. Nothing wrong with them but worth asking if it's always been a bullbarrel as you know it's a relatively new gun then. They are very heavy with a capital H. The bullbarrel comes in carbine and full length and is easily the best option over the std barrel plus silencer route.
