    my 1st hunt

Hi all Just thought i would let you know, i had my 1st hunt last night. Went out for rats and shot a rabbit. A friend usually shoots rats at a local farm/riding school and asked if i would like to help him. How could i resist? we set up in the middle of the riding school he held the lamp while i shot, and after about 15 minutes up popped a rat, i shot but missed. Half our later up popped another rat, shot and there was a loud thud, went to have a look but could not find it. After about an hour shot another. Waited a couple of more hours but nothing, so we went for a walk over the field, managed to shoot a rabbit after about half hour. unfortunatly it was not a clean kill so it took another shot, close up. I had now idea how hard it is shooting at night standing up. Tried the rats again but it got to about 1am i had anough. Went to bed but could not sleep, just got in from work completly shattered. Hopefully i will be going out again soon. Neil
  13. Pete I have herd (not sure if it was this forum or another) that S10's have a habbit of creeping up in power after a short time, it seems it's a common problem. I have to get mine checked, I nocked over a tube, about the same size as a pringles tube but heavier, at around 70yrd's. Or is 70yrd avarage for a S10? new to this, so not sure. Let us know how you get on m8. Neil
  14. I allways check first, unfortunately not everyone fills in there profile.
  15. where abouts are you? Neil
  16. Peter Are you interested in spliting? If so how much for the 12 litre 300bar bottle and hose attachment ,logun lamp with filter pack , pellets . Please let me know. Neil

    Hello

Welcome to the forum, Very helpfull bunch. Have fun. Neil
  18. It took mine about 24 hours. Neil
  19. I tried my new BSA Superten out today at the shooting range. What a superb gun. FM, I took your advice and got a 6x 56 scope, got it s/h from the CLA Friday. Very pleased with it. I was hiting a 25mm circle at 30yds, a few missed but not bad considering how long i have not been shooting for. I tried a 24x out as well on someone elses gun but the slightest movement and it was all over the place, as a couple of you said it would. Also tried the Accupel's some of you suggested, very good and no kick. Unlike the Logun penitrators i also tried. They were very good i hit the same pellet hole about three times but you could feel the difference a slight kick. I found the two stage trigger good, Pull it slightly and you can feel a click then adjust your aim slightly a with a bit more pressure your there on your target. I want to go over the range for a few more time before i go hunting. Will keep you posted on my first hunt. Thanks for everyones advice from this site. If anyone is thinking of getting a BSA Superten i would recommend it.

    boadband

I use a pay as you go broadband www.metronet.co.uk its on all day in this house, the most it cost for me in one month is £16 for 512k. I mainly use it for browsing if you use it for downloading movies etc it will cost more. Prices start at £10 + Vat for 512k and are peeked at £23, it wont go over £23 no matter how much you use it. who ever you choose type it in the address bar and add forum after it, all people talking about that purticulare broadband will be there. Neil
  21. Hi, I cant really give to much advice as i am new to airgunning. I have done alot of reading up on the superten before i bought one. Not one person had a bad thing to say about them apart for being a bit on the heavy side, i think they are around 7.5lb without scope. If yours is the newer version then there slightly lighter. All reviews say how acurate they are and that the power doesn't drop even after 150 shots or more. I think there is a review in the April Airgunner, I have not had a chance to check it out. Some places are charging about £600 new without scope, I paid £300 s/h as new without scope. personaly i think its a good deal. Have you checked the BBS there was some on there. Let us know how you get on. Neil
  22. Thanks FM I think i will keep it simple a sugested. Neil
  23. Would the 6 x 42 scope be ok for targets aswell? or am i better of getting something like a 6x18x50 for target and a fixed for hunting? Neil
  24. Thanks guys what scope do you use? Neil
