PaulABF
Hi guys. I've been trying the door knocking techniques for gaining permission and the results are disheartning to say the least. Do any of you know of any syndicates in Northumberland that I could join. I'm more than willing to pay as long as the prices aren't too exorbitant. Ideally the syndicate would be one where I could turn up on my own or accompanied by a partner at any time. Thanks in advance for any replies. radio1ham
hi paul i also shoot up that way on a couple of farms and its very disheartening when you drive around all day with no luck i have been there my self , easiest way i found was the yellow pages , sometimes syndicates can be funny if they do not know you as sometimes you have to be vetted in by someone who knows you , maybe try find the pub they drink in and try and have a chat with them
rabbithunter
I would just keep knocking on doors ,it,s not easy getting your first farm but when you do and you do a good job more will follow.
pin
Northumberland is particularly difficult due to the huge number of large game shoots around there (I grew up there). It took me ages to find a shoot, over a year of looking, in the end found a large farm over Simonside way, old boy isn't there any more god bless him. What might work is getting in with a gamekeeper if you can, not easy but find one out working and offer help mending pens and feeders - anything really. Do a good job and you might end up with some off season vermin control..
