bk
Hi, I have a Beretta 686S with the double vented rib (I think thats what it is called, when there is vents between the barells). I shoot well with it and like the way it looks but its getting a little tired. Ive priced up getting the gun reblued and the stock renovated but it would come to around £350. The local gunsmith has a 686E that he'll do for around the same money but that gun hasnt got the double vented rib. So my question is, do I renovate my old gun which will still be an old gun in good condition or buy a newer gun without the vents which I like. Also is there a Beretta with the DVR that isnt an out and out clay gun in case I do a little game shooting.
Graham M
£350 for re-blacking the barrels and tarting up the woodwork sound bloody high to me. Sounds like the dealer wants to sell you a gun, and any Beretta that is going for £350 must be pretty old . £100 for the barrels and do the wood yourself. G.M.
