sunshinedave
Well, I've just got my FAC as you guys know, have .22 and .17HMR. Anyway, one of the things I've often fancied is getting involved in long range shooting (as my FAC is for vermin control). I'm looking at perhaps getting a .308 in about a years time, and hopefully getting my FAC opened aswell. I was wondering if anyone was involved with long range shoots with clubs etc, competitions. I know lots of you have .308s for deer etc, what else can they be used for hunting-wise, a bit big for Charlie down the farm I feel? Would be great if I could get .308 on my ticket in a years time for say deer, and for long range club shoots. Any advice welcome!
