apbuild
Northy, Set out after dark and set up downwind of the bunnies because along with a superb sense of hearing, they can smell a sweaty hunter at 200 yards! When you have settled, illuminate your red filtered lamp at 45 degrees to where you hope to despatch Mr Bunny. Slowly bring the light towards the area where bunnies should be and when spotted, do not take too long in letting off your shot. I usually give it 20 mins after each shot to let things settle down again.
northy
Red filterd lamp? is this really necessery? maybe this is where im going wrong?
apbuild
Northy, A high powered lamp shining bright white light will often stun the bunnies for a second before they bolt down their holes. A red filter on the same lamp will illuminate the eyes of your quarry but will not startle so much. It is as though the rabbits have a job to see red light. If the rabbits then react to the red filter, change to blue or green. If you can't find a red filter for your lamp, simply cover it in red cellophane, held in place with some tape. Let me know if you have more success tonight with this method. Rob.

apbuild
45 degrees to the side of the rabbit and slowly bring the beam onto it.
