sunshinedave
Soon as my Brooks trigger kit arrives here, I'll be taking the action out of the stock on my Varmint HMR. Anyone got any advise for fully floating the barrel, its good with A4 paper down to about 3/4 of the way to the reciever, but then it gets tight. What sort of clearance am I looking for? All the way down the barrel? Any pics? Any suggestions as to what to use to re-seal the stock afterwards? Must admit I'm tempted to send it off to the USA for a paint job! Not sure I can stand the time though due to the fact we just lost our first lamp to fox yesterday!
Pagey
You want paper clearance all way down to action, remove action/barrel,sand where you think its touching and seal with stock sealer or similar once your happy its no longer touching, thats all i did and you wouldn't know the difference. Also getting better groups, my seems to improve everytime i use it! Unless i clean it.. then for a box of ammo i may aswell be using a shotgun..!
