Millsy
Hi all, Cant believe my luck! Just been given an HW77. Seems a tidy gun and although I mainly use the HW100, I thought it could be handy as a spare. The reviews I`ve seen seem to suggest its a goody, but have any of you had problems with them? Dont know how old the spring is,(dont know how to get at it either), but the condition overall looks very tidy with no rust or damage. Put a couple of pellets through it & no problems there. Never had a springer before so any advice gratefully recieved. Millsy
samjones69
ye i have a hw77 its a good gun i reckon, its pretty powerful and accurate but now I'm looking for a multi shot pcp :] oh ye to get to the spring take the stock off and just remove the 2 pins above the trigger even though the gun isn't cocked it is still quite powerful inside so a clamp or something would be handy. i don't know all that much myself but hope it helped :]
Devilishdave
You dont need a clamp, I used to take them apart with my hand as a 14 year old lad (more years ago than I care to remember) just make sure you have a fair bit of down force when you are unscrewing the back end. Iyou have a lamp great but as I said it is not esential. Cracking rifle though, with a bit of practice you will do surprisingly well with the hw 77. Millsy
Thanks SJ & DD. for the advice. Took it down the fields this weekend for a try out. Great fun. Bit different from the hw100 though Cheers Millsy
