Browning
Due to Mrs Brownings job location we may have to move house......away from all my beloved shooting permission and beating  It looks like we'll be moving to Worcestershire, somewhere between Stratford/Worcester/Evesham. Before I decide wether I stay here with the dogs or move with her are there any PW members that know that area ? Whats the pigeon shooting like ? Whats the beating availability ? Are there plenty of shoots around ? Are there any decent clay pigeon clubs around (i.e. Not clickey stuck up joints). Thanks in advance for any help with this, it may just save my marriage ! On the brighter side.....there'll be 1500 acres of shooting permission going free in North Oxfordshire, so if the farmers OK with it I'll be happy to introduce a responsible PW member to him. barrie0
I am about 22 miles away from evesham and work in tewkesbury near to the worcestershire border , Evesham has a lot of market gardeners and a lot of countryside around there ,I know there is a shoot at overbury and dumbleton and also some blokes at the clay ground I go to use a club in worcestershire which is supposed to be very good . Is it worth giving up your shooting in north oxford as it is not that far away . Parts of worcestershire are also around the cotswolds so as said there is plenty of countryside . Thats about all I know mate
Browning
Thanks for that BarrieO. We're looking at houses next Monday so I'll get an idea of the countryside then. I'll keep my Oxfordshire land on anyway, but it'll be at least an hours drive from where I'll be living (As opposed to 10 minutes walk as it is now) so won't be as easy to drive by every day. The farmers a good mate so he'll let me keep it anyway, but it would be good if there was someone else he could call on at short notice if he gets hit by the birds. barrie0
Wise idea to keep it on as if you can't find any at least you still have some , next time I see the two chaps I will try to get the name and location of the club as at least then you will get to know the local shooters . Also a couple of the other members use this place http://www.swsg.co.uk/home.htm which is also supposed to be very good . I use this place http://www.cotswoldcc.co.uk/ ,so if you are feeling lost at your new house pop down if it is not to far . Cheers
