LXX73
Can anybody advise me on what the timeframe for completing probationary period for FAC is. The reason I ask is because the club Ive been thinking of joining I was told by one member its 3 months and by another 6 months. Would the differing timeframes be at the clubs discretion and would serving in the forces in the past have any relation to this. Thanks in advance for the help. MC
yes it is entirely at the clubs discretion, and know serving in the forces will have no bearing on this. It is normally 3 months, some clubs insist on 6. I am afraid it is more of a case of who you know
harv
it is not so much the time scale but a minimum attendance within six months trying out the various disciplines to offer plus safety gun handling and getting to know the person are all requirements at a club i am a member of and works very well. if a probationer completes this within 3 months then his application will be reviewed and accepted or not at the next commitee meeting. each club will be slightly different i suggest you approach a commitee member to clarify. serving in the forces will have no relevance unless you can borrow gimpy's occasionally Edited June 6, 2008 by harv
