Hi all.

Was just wanting some advice on the above?

I have 2 dummys, one covered in rabbit fur and one in a phesant, she will retreive both without bother.

Although when i tryed her on the real thing (rabbit) Today she just sits and licks it,

I tied the rabbits legs into the body and vise versa with its head.

Any one know how to overcome this?

Cheers

Hi Lewis try very short retrieves, lots of praise (even a titbit if you have to) then lengthen the distance as she becomes used to coming straight back to you.

Good luck and be patient B)

Cheers d2d,

Well the topping on the icing cake today. She was lying beside me and i shot a rat with the air rifle, after going over and puttin another shot in its dome.

After realising their was not a rat i seen my dog making off with it :good: .

So the morale of the story is she will retreive a rat... But not game :P:lol:

I think she preffers smaller game so might try her on that.
