nico243
I was asked by a landowner friend to have a bit of a mooch round his woods and try to locate any fox earths. Well not expecting to see a charlie in the daylight (it was about 1030hrs) , and given the restricted ranges on the rides etc, I decided to take my .22lr and maybe bag a rabbit or squirrel on my walk. I decided to sit on an old fallen tree for a five minute breather and charge the mag and... yup you guessed it out popped a young'ish vixen about 50yds away. I think she was as surprised to see me as I was to see her, she ran (half-heartedly) round a bend in the ride out of sight, I followed slowly not expecting to see her again and there she was trying to hide behind behind some low nettles about 60yds away, so with one good clean head shot there is now one less fox and I located the well used earth about 80yds into the wood under some old mossy fallen timber. I reckon I may go back later with the .243 and sit and wait and see if any of her siblings put in an appearance.

Pipmoff
Good work looks like you may have found a nice little project there to clear the rest up and keep the farmer happy.
