air rifle relum tornado .22 1950's

Recommended Posts

Well I never. I remember the Relum Tornado really well. When I was a lad.

Terrific air rifle in it's day, and if its restored ,then I can't see why it won't be a good 'un even today.

I was tempted to buy it just for nostalgia, but she put me straight.

I'm sure someone will love this.

I know what you mean, it was the first good air rifle I could afford the tornado. back in 1956

I later bought an airsporter but didn't rate it power wise compaired to the relum,

I once stone deaded a rat with open sights it was realy too far out to shoot,

I gave it about 2 inches of top and fired the rat jumped 2 foot in the air and keeled over,

we paced it out at 70 yards.

id have missed it with my 12 bore.

but my all time favourite was a bsa 177 cadet major. I sold one last year after reconditioning it and have regretted it ever since.

I bought 3 tornado's last year as a job lot to get a better price.

2 mark 2s and this mark 1.ive kept a mark 2 and mounted some glass on it the mark one has a very strong spring and I have arthritis in the shoulders an can't cock it I think its called getting old.

I think this one has a buyer . all the best ///pete///
